Divorce

"BREAKING COVENANT"

Divorce is a matter of will for the spouse who chooses to break the marriage covenant. You have the choice to either "End" the covenant or "Fight" to reestablish your covenant by trusting God. Divorce is a very hurtful and traumatic process for both parties. Even though it is easy in most cases to just give up and try to just move on. This decision will continue to follow you. Until, you address your part in the whole matter as well.

Mala. 2:16-states
"For the Lord God of Israel says, that He hates divorce, for it covers ones garment with violence.

Divorce was never God's intent from the beginning. His plan and will was always in the establishment of the marriage covenant being sacred and binding. Just as Christ and His Church!

In 1 Cor. 7:11-
He states, that wives do not depart from your husband. But even if she does depart let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled back to her husband. A husband is not to divorce his wife.

Now, we do understand according to
 Matt. 5:32, Matt. 19:9, Mark 10:11-12, Luke 16:18.
But, I say whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.

God gives you a way out. But, really How does this decision give glory and honor to our Heavenly Father. Where is Forgiveness, Love and Mercy shown towards the one who has hurt you. This way out, only produces self gratification. When our actions in Christ should be to shine the light on God's Love for us!! As simple as it is to choose the easiest way out. It's really not! It will accomplish nothing but to deal with guilt from giving up, a temporary fix or even to the point of hurting a child you both conceived from your love. My hope is in you choosing the Hardest path which leads to great victory and becomes a testimony for another. Someone who is in need of being shown the good example of a successful marriage. That was once broken but now lives with the power of Christ's love and forgiveness extended to you. Jesus Christ is the Key to reestablish any covenant.

Today:
Ask God to help you through this decision you're facing of Divorce or Separation even. Ask for His Perfect Will to be done regarding your covenant. That, God can be glorified out of your situation. Take the first step to Forgive and work towards "Walking in Love" and interceding for your spouse.
